SuperCream Ingredients

Genistein

  • Naturally occurring phytoestrogen from soy.
  • Less-potent form of estrogen that has been shown to prevent the breakdown of collagen when applied topically.
  • Potent antioxidant in skin.
  • No significant systemic absorption, so it can be used by men and does not interfere with bioidentical HRT.

Retinol Ultraspheres

  • Retinol inhibits the enzymes that increase skin aging (matrix metalloproteinases).(4)
  • Actually decreases sunlight-induced generation of damaging free radicals.
  • Natural form of vitamin A
  • As effective as tretinoin (Retin-A/Renova) when used in high concentrations (1.5% or higher) but much less irritating.(3)
  • Suspended in ultraspheres (finely dispersed nano-emulsions or tiny bubbles) for protection against degradation and improved penetration to the skin’s deepest layers. Ultraspheres are not commercially available in the US.

Iris Iso

  • Rich in isoflavones from the iris flower, Iris Iso is an exclusive phytoestrogen from Brazil.
  • Thanks to its estrogen-like activity, Iris Iso helps to fight against wrinkle formation, dryness and skin-slackening.

Gingko Biloba extract

  • Stimulates the production of collagen and extracellular fibronectin by fibroblasts.(5)
  • Contains many flavonoid compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.

Coenzyme Q10

  • Reduces wrinkle depth by increasing collagen content of the skin.(6)
  • A potent, naturally-occurring antioxidant that is important for cellular metabolism and energy production.
  • Protects against UV-A mediated, oxidative stress-induced skin aging by inhibiting the enzymes that degrade collagen and by stopping the inflammatory response.

Liposomes

  • A mixture of peptides suspended in phospholipids that help skin cells produce ATP to protect against cellular stress.
  • Facilitate regeneration in skin cells damaged by UV light, free radicals and other environmental toxins.

Directions for use:

  1. Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat dry.
  2. Apply small dabs of cream to the face and neck. Gently work the cream into the skin, avoiding the area very close to your eyes.
  3. Apply at night and use a moisturizer with sun screen in the morning. While the retinol should not cause increased sun sensitivity, always apply sunscreen – especially in the summer months.
  4. Very few patients experience irritation or scaling. If this occurs, stop the cream until it resolves and then restart.
  5. This cream can be used with all other skin products except Tazorac or products containing retinoids (such as Retin-A, Renova or other tretinoin products).
